Hey Earthshot community! We hope to see you at the weekly all-hands meeting this week to give some special updates, get to know each other, and deepen our coherence as a group of allies in the journey of ecological restoration.

For me, this is a really special time each week to get in touch with the core motivation for why we all work so hard on systemic solutions to the climate crisis. I work on Earthshot because of a profound love of nature and joy of working together with open-hearted and passionate people. This is an opportunity to co-create an intimate field of allies and friends who are brilliant at implementing real change in the world.
Fundraising! Earthshot has been all volunteer and grant funded so far, to ensure we maintain the integrity of open-source standards and build something that honors the evolutionary truth of ecological consciousness, rather than just forming an opportunistic business to make quick money on an exploding market for carbon credits. With that commitment, we’re opening up the opportunity for deeply-aligned impact investors to come on board to help us expand the full-time team and finish development of LandOS and Biome, our technology stack for remote + crowdsourced carbon verification and ecosystem monitoring. If you are an accredited investor from the US or high net worth individual outside the US, you can join our rolling SAFE note raise at https://earthshot.eco/invest, and invest in under 10 minutes with a $50k minimum. We’ll be opening the platform up later this year for all investors after SEC approval, so click through the Invest Now button to join the waiting list if interested.
Project updates: It’s so fun to be building something that the world needs so much! We just started signing up initial pilot projects for carbon development and verification through our LandOS platform, and we’re already partnering with landowners on more than 4 million acres globally. Our goal is to bring remote + crowdsourced ecosystem monitoring and verification to every landowner on earth, and have a globally consistent and transparent carbon accounting system to incentivize ecological restoration at a planetary scale. 2021 will be a strong proof of our system at a massive scale.
Demos! The research teams for water, soil, and forest carbon have done some breakthrough work the last weeks; I particularly love the new water models under development that simulate Beaver Dam Analogs, which could be a major solution to the water crisis at scale.
Have a beautiful week!
